Cognitive Robotics 2020 Workshop

Cognitive Robotics merges two research fields, physical systems and control architectures. The physical systems are designed to adapt to dynamic environments while the control architectures explicitly take into account the need to acquire and exploit past experiences.
In practice, the research field of cognitive robotics is interdisciplinary, which is inspired by knowledge and methods from many different areas such as psychology, biology, signal processing, physics, information theory, mathematics, and mechanical science. The designed cognitive robots will achieve their goals via understanding the semantic meaning of unknown environment, intelligent sensing, automatic planning, multi-agent communication, and anticipating the outcome of actions.
The development of cognitive robotics will keep cross-fertilizing these research areas. This workshop aims to promote technologies like computational cognition and perception, computational computing, and computational neuroscience. Those areas are driving as the best tools for upgrading the robots with near-human intelligence. The overall goal of this workshop would like to achieve is to foster links between the fields of cognitive science, robotics and machine intelligence, and promote the methodologies required to make the research of cognitive robotics industrially and socially.
This workshop provides a forum for researchers from industry and academia to discuss cognitive robotics. Please note that paper length is 6-10 pages, and the review process will be double-blind.

All accepted and presented papers will be submitted for publishing by Springer along with the conference proceedings and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library. Proceedings will be submitted for inclusion in leading indexing services, including Ei Compendex, ISI Web of Science, Scopus, CrossRef, Google Scholar, DBLP, as well as EAI’s own EU Digital Library (EUDL).
